The moon slept on that lonely dirt road
As the clouds wept muddying the ground
A Victorian house set at the top of the soggy hill
My sweetheart’s home
I drove in circles for hours wondering why she left me.
Her graceful silhouette waltzes
as a gentle breeze ruffles the silky drapery
With wet eyes I turned the wheel, slid down the slippery drive
And drove through the tear flooded street,
Alone again
Without her
Beautiful poem Nancy! Hope you are having a good day!
