Post #217 – Nothing Can Steal Our Joy

Although my journey has been less than pleasant (we all experience this), I’m still a woman of faith. But, bombshells explode in mid-air.

Blindsided like tornadoes. My much-weakened lungs need a CPAP machine and inspirometer breathing exercises seven times an hour.  I cannot catch a deep breath. Faced with three more worrisome outpatient surgeries tires me.

Suffering baffles me. Each philosophy differs in their opinions. But pain cannot truly be explained. Regardless, I have determined to smile and choose acceptance irrespective of the outcome. Allow nothing to steal your joy.

If you would live in victory . . . you must refuse to be dominated by the seen and the felt. Amy Carmichael

    • Thank you, Alexis. Ditto. Every line of your book captured my attention. I especially liked the therapy. You teach us so much about disassociation and your particular PTSD. ❤ you
