Uninspired
Lost in muck and mire
Climbing my way out of the pit
Without a rope
Pulling my paralyzed body
Up with my hands
Slipping and sliding
Blood dripping
Grasping jagged rocks
No ceiling above me
I see the light
If I keep at it
The light will see me

Thanks, V,J. It just spilled out of me. I think it was an invisible trigger. I love the last line too. My heart clings to that thread of hope regardless of what my mind goes through.

Thank you, Avaswan. As I mentioned in a previous comment, I think an invisible trigger hit me today. Spilling our traumas where I feel safe, among friends here on WordPress. ❤ Your kind words touched me deeply. ❤

We all have triggers that come out out of the blue. I understand sweet sister.

Nancy the beautiful picture in your post said it all. The light is there at the end of the tunnel and it is all pervading. You just keep on remembering Him. He is always there and it is in his Hands what he has for you. Remember him at all times. Take care.

Amen to that. I thank God that it is His joy, His strength, and His love that sustains us, No, that makes us overcomers. ❤
