Dismantled by my abusers
Years of mental, emotional, and physical torture
They thought they won
So did I
But within me a flickering candle of hope
Ignited
Extinguishing their power over me.

True. I cling to the hem of His garment daily. And I know my joy and strength come from Him. Without Him, I would implode.
