Burgundy, teal, and copper

hints of sunset

painting the glass

on my bedroom window

A windy nip in the air

bounce graying lush leaves

of the massive oak

standing tall within my view

Ebony wintry night

Pervades my twilight hues

escorting a delicious silence

the epilog of a lovely eventide.
