My Blog: A Potpourri of living life, paralyzed and confined to a bed, how I got this way, how I cope, and my perspectives. I am also a CSA, rape, and human trafficking survivor.
Some call me “Wildflower” because … I … survive … the sights that I see when I venture out, the joy of breathing fresh air, of reading and viewing for which I am grateful, yet I prefer my solace – Scorpio hidden in the universe amid twelve grandchildren and the story of humanity, self-deprecating and struggling with self-esteem and what people say; but there are always sea-foam green, teal, lavender, and yellow Brie, dark chocolate, cherries and the Mediterranean: people ask me for my recipes; I travel virtually and survive wildlife and crime to help fellow victims; I am the Witness, I am the Sentinel: welcome to my musings!
Forgiveness – A new kind of healing has begun within me. I feel it. I’m not as overly sensitive to innocent remarks that spurred triggers. Also, even when blindsided now, nothing shakes my faith. I’m able to trust in the God I cannot see, the one I cannot […]
She loves him so deeply, She hates him as much, She longs to be with him, She craves his sole touch, Her total fulfillment embodied in one. Yet love’s lost in the whirlwind, Swept away, slowly fading, listen oh hearken! Sadly because of a promise rescinded. The lies made […]

Monday September 28, 2015 Photo from the movie Unbroken I watched the movie Unbroken last night. This riveting true story of horrific torture, undeterred inner strength, and true forgiveness left me weak and speechless. It caused me to think of all those who have abused, molested, raped, and […]
Pain caused me another sleepless night. Nothing new – but the pain abates when I bathe in those peaceful quiet hours. A sweet ambiance permeates my room. Last night, I lost my battle with the pain, so I spilled it out in this poem. Something odd happened after each […]
I am a born-adventurer and, although, for the most part, life has not given me this luxury, I try to make moments matter. Outings: Since bed confinement limits my adventures to doctors’ outings, and what I watch on TV and the internet, I have to find creative ways […]
Primarily, being a victim of sex traffickers, I experienced the evil firsthand at the hands of a gang of vicious pimps controlled by organized crime in New York City from the age of eighteen until I was twenty-one. Shane, the leader of the gang, kept me locked up […]
